Hi Sam and Michael,
Wow!!! I just looked at the Featured Cakes link from your blog, and I am totally blown away!! The beauty of the cakes and creativity of these cake decorators is totally inspiring me! I hope that someday my cakes will be as special as the ones there! They have given me a new goal to reach toward.
My family is so happy that I've taken up cake decorating as a hobby! Thank you so much for all of the great tips!
I am also a "newbie" using the computer, so I listened to your audio postcard, and the step-by-step instructions really allayed my apprehension about placing an order on line. Thanks for your help with this as well.
Can't wait to share your web site with my friends, and to receive the new e-book!
Hi there. Just looked at your video for leveling cakes. Have to say I thought it was very amateurish. The lady looked quite uncomfortable, the sound was a little muffled and the kitchen looked cluttered - sorry!
the video on evenly baked cakes was interesting. i never knew that a flower nail would work as a core. knowing these tips will come in handy baking wedding cakes. thank you. kim yack
I looked at you video link. Was hoping it would be a larger display. But it came through okay. Just too small for demonstration purposes.(leveling cakes)
The information on the video was helpful and useful, but the camera work was shaky and the girl seemed nervous. The clutter in the kitchen was definitely distracting.
Hi, just popped over to the video. I agree with some of what the "anonymous" bloggers said. However, I didn't expect that you were shooting for an academy award here. The info was useful and your model will gain confidence with time. A larger display would be helpful; perhaps if you tighten the shot to just her hands and the pertinent appliance you'll get the desired effect. Keep those videos coming, I know I learn better if see it rather than read it in a book. I’m happy to view and critique (and learn!).
The video was GREAT!! You did a fine job on featuring your decorated and giving tips that anyone can understand.
The video played fine. It was bit shaky but was still clear.
I viewed your video, and it is very informative, I do have a set of the bakcing strips and would not bake a cake without them, even my every day cakes. They are great, and she explains very well.
I thought it was very good.
The Video is great! was tiny bit unclear but what are people expecting not an oscar winning performance - it gets your points across and you learn some great tips - i'm starting from the very beginning and i find all your hints and tips GREAT!! thanks so much x
I just watched the video. The clarity was great on the computer and I really loved the tip about the cake nail.
The video looks great on my computer and of course, great information was given. Thanks for all the helpful tips. I think the video was down to earth showing real people teaching others. That was a comfortable feeling.
Michael,
The film looked great but it stopped about 4 or 5 times.
The video looked good on my computer.
Hi Sam,

Hi I could not get the hyperlink to open, so I just typed in the address to open the video. I worked fine.
Hi, I've just look at your video (leveling cakes), found the information very useful. The flower nail tip is great.
I enjoyed the video on leveling cakes...I have always wanted to try the leveling stripes but have not had the money to buy them...thanks for the tip on homemade ones. I find all your emails very useful. Thanks again and keep up the good work!
I think for the most part you did an excellent job. Some of the pictures I would have like to have been a little clearer, but other then that it looks good.
The information was great in the video but the person behind the camera needs someone to show him what to do and how to do it.
I have enjoyed every tip and suggestion that I've read so far. Keep up the good work.
I agree with some of the other comments too ... the picture could be bigger. I was hoping to see actual batter being used with the baking core - but hey you can't have everything. I never bake without the strips. BUT is there a way to use them or a trick for doing something else whith specialty pans. I use the open book shape and t-shirt pan quite a bit.
Hi, I just looked at the sneak peak on cake baking. sounds good. What I enjoy the most are the emails with your daily tips.

Hi Sam,
What are baking strips and where could i buy them?
Also I would not be interested in Video books as I could not follow them and bake I prefer to have a receipe I can refer to as I go along .I would not have the time to sit and watch a video it is not practicle for me.
Is there no chance of me getting the book ? I find your tips most helpful .Im surprised nobody else has thought of this before as it is a much needed tool.
Regards Yours grateful
Ruth.
I really love the idea of using the cake baking strips. I was taught to make sure my cakes have that little rise in the middle so that when I cut it I would have a flat top. I don't have the baking strips yet but I am on my way to AC Moore craft store to purchase a set. I'll be giving them a try soon. I purchased the e-book volume 1 and I was supposed to get that free. Have I missed something because I haven't received a link to do so. Michael or Samantha please let me know. Thanks
